Well, I haven't really disappeared...I've been re-learning, sorting, organizing, and setting up some projects. Additionally, I'm learning Bobbin Lace, thanks to my dear friend and Fairy Godmother. It's interesting to say the least, fun, frustrating, and rewarding as all get-out! Not sure if I'm ready to post pix of that endeavor yet...!!
Sigh. Now I must also re-learn how to upload pictures here, have some good ones.
Well, be loyal! Be questioning! And I'll be back!
Warmest regards,
Sarah E.

And continuing...
Hi there!
No, I didn't just start this again only to disappear once more!
I have so much to re-learn, sort through and organize to put out here...bit by bit! Lots and lots of pix of projects, WIPs, and UFOs, and even in the couple years I've been gone, things have changed a lot! (gracious, I sound like my grandmother...oh yeah, BTW, I AM a grandmother!)
As an aside, while I'm putting things back together, I reflect periodically on how things have changed since my grandmother was born...since my mom was born (1927)...gosh, since I was born!! And while working, I know I am grateful not only for the types of technology available today, but also the types of technology that make the technology easier!
I remember one of my first jobs as a legal assistant for one of the larger law firms in Washington, D.C. Our firm was one of the first in D.C. to get a firm-wide computer system. No 'net yet, but the complete word-processing package. We all thought we were in outer space with our large (box-like) computer screens and easy-touch (well, compared to an IBM Selectric with interchangeable typeface ballheads) keyboards! And that was only thirty years ago...
SO! More soon, stay in touch and in the meantime,
be inquisitive! Be inquiring! And I'll be back!
Warmest (haha, it's going to be in the '90's here in TX today!!) regards from

Second Blog, Second Post
LOL, don't worry -- the titles get better!
A couple pix, WIPs --
A couple pix, WIPs --
The second item is courtesy of Mary Corbet's fabulous and long-standing (for so many excellent reasons) Needle 'n' Thread blog. Mary has a slew of free patterns, and since the Jacobean era has long been a favorite of mine, I was compelled to try this. The background fabric is from Vikki Clayton's Hand-Dyed Fibers. The white fabric used for the flower is from my mother's stash. We always used to send stuff back and forth...she loved to send me something "strange" and challenge me to do something with it!
More later.
Be imaginative! Be curious! And I'll be back!

Second Blog, First Post!
Hi there!
Well, after 3+ years on hiatus from blogging and general public availability, I'm back. I've moved a couple times, my grandson is four years old (my, how time flies!), and my mother passed in April of this year. But I've continued to be blessed with the grace notes of embellishment in my life, even during tough times (*grin*). So I figured, since I've missed y'all, I'd best get back to what I do best -- sharing the beauty and the fun of creativity in all areas that I can manage!
If you're new and want to catch up, my previous blog, still in existence, is accessible at www.everembellished.blogspot.com. Enjoy!
In the mean time, stay tuned...
Be caring! Be creative! And, I'll be back!
Warmest regards from

P.S. Please bear with me...I just did this much today, and there is still a LOT of tweaking to be done! Thanks for your patience.
